Payment Methods
Prooflio accepts credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). All payments are securely processed through Stripe and card details are never stored on Prooflio servers.
To manage your payment method:
- Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Method.
- Click Update Payment Method.
- Enter your new payment details.
- Click Save.
Invoices
All invoices are available in your billing settings:
- Go to Settings > Billing > Invoices.
- View your complete invoice history.
- Click any invoice to view details or Download PDF.
Invoices are automatically emailed to your account email after each successful payment.
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade to a higher plan:
- Go to Settings > Billing > Change Plan.
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to.
- Review the pricing summary.
- Click Upgrade.
How Prorating Works
When you upgrade mid-billing cycle, Prooflio calculates the prorated difference:
- You receive credit for the unused portion of your current plan.
- You’re charged the prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle on the new plan.
- Your next full billing cycle will be at the new plan’s price.
All new features are available immediately after upgrading.
Downgrading Your Plan
To switch to a lower plan:
- Go to Settings > Billing > Change Plan.
- Select the plan you want to downgrade to.
- Review any limitations that will apply.
- Click Downgrade.
What Happens When You Downgrade
- Your data is preserved — no reviews, insights, or widgets are deleted immediately.
- Features are restricted — features not included in the new plan become unavailable.
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan’s features until then.
- Grace period — after downgrade, you have a 3-day grace period before plan limits are enforced.
- Data retention — data beyond the new plan’s limits is retained for 7 days after the grace period before being purged.
Downgrading preserves your data during the grace and retention periods. You can upgrade again at any time to restore full access.
Cancellation
To cancel your Prooflio subscription:
- Go to Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription.
- Optionally provide feedback on why you’re cancelling.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
What Happens When You Cancel
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan.
- You retain access to 1 review source and 50 reviews (the Free plan limits).
- No further charges will be made.
Cancelling your subscription does not immediately delete your data. Your reviews and insights remain accessible within the Free plan limits. You can resubscribe at any time.
Trial Reminders
If you’re on a trial, Prooflio sends reminder emails:
- 3 days before trial ends — a reminder to upgrade or your account will revert to the Free plan.
- 1 day before trial ends — a final reminder.
